It doesn’t matter how old you are or how much money you earn—we believe that everyone should be planning their finances for retirement.
When it comes to funding a retirement, generally speaking, there are two options available:
You can rely on the government pension, or
You can fund your retirement yourself.
Relying on the government pension is the preferred option for many Australians, however the amount of money you receive each fortnight may limit your lifestyle.
For example:
Will you want to retire with enough money to enjoy all of the luxuries Noosa Shire has to offer?
Will you want to travel, or buy a motor home, or have the freedom to purchase larger items without having to worry about money?
Or will you want to leave a legacy or inheritance for your children and beyond?
If these questions strike a chord with you, you may want to plan for a self-funded retirement.
The question is, how do you fund your own retirement?
The answer: You need a carefully designed and executed financial plan.
We believe there are seven key elements to a “real” financial plan:
You require an actual written plan. Studies have shown that you’re 50% more likely to achieve a goal if it is written down. Financial planning is no different.
Your plan is your northern star for all financial and investment decisions. Your plan must guide everything you do when it comes to investments, lending, etc.
Your investments are important, but they are never the main focus. Many people think that a financial plan is just a list of investments you need to acquire. While investments are critical to a plan, they are only the ‘fuel’ that push it along.
Your plan has a list of strategies. And surprisingly, a great financial plan is not convoluted nor complex. Instead, it is just the basics, done well.
The plan is reviewed regularly. No plan is ever “set and forget”.
The plan covers all important items: insurance, wills, loans etc. Not just the fun things!
A clear action list is in place at all times, and is reviewed regularly. Your plan will need optimising as you, and your portfolio, mature.

This incredible status was achieved after UNESCO assessed Noosa Shire’s natural landscape, cultural elements and history, regulatory systems, governmental processes, alongside social, economic and political activities.
Some facts about the Noosa Biosphere Reserve:
The Noosa Biosphere was the first recognised biosphere reserve in Queensland.
It neighbours the Great Sandy Biosphere to the north. This makes Southeast Queensland the only place in the world to have two conjoined biosphere reserves.
It covers more than 150,000 hectares of terrestrial and freshwater/tidal areas.
Nearly 40% of the biosphere is either a protected national park, State forest, water system, or conservation park.
The biosphere consists of 61 individual ecosystems. 8 are considered to be endangered, and 12 are considered “regionally significant”.
The biosphere features 2,346 plant species and 3,023 wildlife species.

This Strategy Meeting isn’t a thinly disguised sales pitch, nor is it a dull “talk-fest”. Instead, you’ll walk away from this session with a greater feeling of clarity around your financial future.
To be more specific, in your Wealth Potential Strategy Meeting we’ll explore:
1. Your current situation – where you are now
We’ll take stock of your current finances, assets, income, and liabilities. We’ll use this time to get a deep understanding of where you are now, so we can plan the best pathway to get you to where you want to be.
2. Your desired situation – where you’d like to be when you retire
Next, we look at your desired outcome, or, what you’d like your finances to look like when you retire. Let’s get very specific about your goals at this stage, including:
How much money you’d like to have, in cash, when you retire each year. Usually, if you’re good earners, you should be able to to plan for at least $100k income each year (we call this a “six figure retirement”).
What you’d like your lifestyle to look like. Will you want to travel each year? Will you want to buy a campervan and/or four wheel drive? Will you want to eat at a nice restaurant once a week? Or do you have another luxury in mind?
And more. It’s important to get very specific about your goals, so we can work towards them in the next stage, which is where we start to assemble…
3. A plan to get you there
Lastly, we’ll chat about a strategy for creating the retirement of your dreams.
If we both decide that we’re a fit to work together, we can chat about that too. Regardless of your future intention, there’s a heap of value (and sense of control and calmness) awaiting you after this session.
